Alex Mimlitz

Hello Boiseans & others! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a crucial part of keeping this epic event going. My name is Alex and I have lived in Boise for almost 4 years. I love running, being outside, and the community. To be honest, the only thing I might love more is helping others engage with those three! I bring over a decade of experience in the running industry to the table and spend most of my free time training for ultra distances on our wonderful trail system that we are so fortunate to have. It's been an absolute blast working with the race team and with the other partners in the Treasure Valley Community to continue the legacy of The Boise Front Trail Run. Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to see you out there on race day. In the meantime, run free and help spread the word!

Megan Lacy

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for visiting our page and being interested in supporting the Boise Front Trail Race! I am so excited to be a part of this event! I originally moved to Boise 6 years ago to compete on the Boise State Track and Cross country teams. While I was at BSU, I fell in love with the city (especially the trails) and decided I couldn't leave. Day to day, I am the CEO and Co-Founder of local start-up Lumineye, where we build situational tools for first responders. Outside of work, I pretty much spend all my other time running and enjoying the wonderful Idaho outdoors. I have been running competitively for over 20 years, serve as as the Secretary of the USATF Mountain Ultra Trail Executive Committee and was on the USA Mountain World Championship Team last year. Thank you for your support and we all look forward to seeing you on race day!

Greetings! We're so excited for this year's Boise Front Trail Run, and we hope you are too. I'm a relative newcomer to Boise (my wife and I moved here in early 2020), and I'm constantly in awe of the abundant places to run, hike, bike, swim, paddle, and more in the Treasure Valley. There's a whole lot of nature to be thankful for as a Boisean, and I hope this event encourages seasoned trail users and newcomers alike to come out and enjoy some of that nature!

Dan Button

Hi friends! We cannot wait to celebrate and explore our wonderful Boise trails with you. My wife and I moved over from the Boston area back in 2017 to be closer to the mountains we love to play in. Since moving here we have been overwhelmed by the amazing outdoor community in the Treasure Valley and we can’t wait to share it with new and old friends alike this summer. I spend my day job working on making french fries more sustainable, and find most of my best ideas coming on daily lunch runs.

Ashley Simard

Hello! I'm thrilled to be a part of this year's Boise Front Trail Run. My love for running began in my third year of college when I started working at Ragged Mountain Running Shop, a running store in Charlottesville, VA, and I've been an avid runner since! The first race I ever ran was the Monument Ave 10k in Richmond, VA -- my dad and I ran together, and for how exhausted I was after the race (my dad did his best to keep me from taking any walk breaks), you wouldn't have thought I caught the running bug, but I did! I've since run a few of the major marathons, but I think 10k is still my favorite distance.

When I moved to Boise from Virginia in 2020, I was awestruck by the immense mountains and trail systems. Exploring the vast trail network has been one of the best parts about moving here. Apart from running, I enjoy skiing and camping with my husband Shihan (a co-founder of BFTR) and our two pups, Chance and Stella.

Sumner Fletcher Button

Hi Sumner here! When I’m not snowboarding in the mountains I’m running in them with my dogs and my husband.

The Boise Trails and Idaho Mountains are the reason I moved out here. They are a gorgeous place for running, snowboarding, horseback riding, climbing, and all the fun things that I like doing outside. Can’t wait to see you all on race day!
